The Island H2O Live! water park in Kissimmee will open its doors – and its pools and water slides – to the public on June 5.
Technology at the park will allow guests to personalize their music and light experiences or share their day on social media instantaneously as they careen down water slides and spend an afternoon swimming.
The attraction, built as part of the Margaritaville Resort Orlando, will have a 15-day preview period, during which guests can get a daily pass for $5 off regular price and $20 off the annual pass price of $89.99.
Daily passes range from $42.98 for seniors 62 years old and older and $49.99 for most guests.
During the preview days, annual passes can only be bought at on-site ticket windows. Regular prices will be in effect after the preview days end on June 20.
In a news release, general manager Jim Kunau made a direct appeal to thrill seekers “looking to conquer stomach-churning slides.” He also said it was a place for families.
“We are thrilled to welcome our first guests to Island H2O Live and have them enjoy this new, innovative and immersive water park,” he said in the release.
The park is the latest component of what will become a 300-acre entertainment complex and community, which includes a hotel, shopping district, a neighborhood of 700 cottages and a movie theater.
The sprawling location has a price tag of about $800 million and is anchored by a 184-room hotel, which opened early this year.
